Reflection #1

One of the articles that my group found, explains the changes in the brain for people with Alzheimer’s, how it affects loved ones, etc. This relates to our universal theme, Change, because throughout the process, the brain changes. Also, a loved one's everyday routine changes due to someone that has this disease. From reading this article, I learned that typically the first sign of someone having Alzheimer’s is when they start to forget many things. I also learned that Alzheimer’s mostly affects older adults. Our group did not change our topic, universal theme, or generalization because after researching this topic, both my partner and I found an interest in trying to see if there is a cure to help treat someone with Alzheimer’s. We hope to see if there is a cure to help treat Alzheimer’s. Also, we want to find out how it affects loved ones. Does it bring the family closer together or farther apart? Those are the types of questions my partner and I have. The collaboration between my partner and I has been working very well. Since we both have the same interest in researching this topic, we have been able to cooperate more and see each other’s opinions.
